I already read Water for Elephants and it was good. I am sick of hearing about the baby boomers and the sixties so I don't want to read the other one.

i agree. the only thing i'm more sick of than reading about the sixties is listening to 60s music.

About 3 years ago we planted a pineapple
.
Well, the pineapple is FINALLY going to bear fruit. So while taking a picture of it, I noticed a tiny white frog.

Pretty cool looking, isn't he or is it a she? Anyone got a good name for him/her?

That's the notorious pineapple eating frog of Oklahoma!

I don't know what kind he/she is but it's cute. Looks like a tree frog to me.

The tree frogs change color to match their surroundings. Looks like that one is matching those leaves above it. Looks like a cute pet.

Tropical fruit in the Central/Mid West?

In Ca. I had some large "Bird of Paridise" along my front porch. I planted them from bulbs.
It took 8yrs for them to start sprout above ground. I've seen some Bird of Paridise grow the size of small palm trees.

Kote says to tell you thank you, LR. In his silent world, thank you sounds like Rrrrd-eeep. Uh oh, that was my famous barking spider. My bad.

Smile Frog Rabies

I moved in with my father during high school in OKC and brought my dog, a very large, white Afghan Hound. My father was a John Wayne type, very little bothered him.He comes into the livingroom and is clearly upset, asking about my dogs shots and tells me to go look at him but not to go outside. The dog has a foot of foam and drool on his face and is throwing his head around.Looked like he ate an alkaseltzer.Classic picture of rabid dog.Lucky I figured out the goofy dog was carrying around a toad in his mouth, and the toxins in the toads skin were causing him to foam at the mouth. He was throwing the toad around like a ball.Toad and dog both survived-I think Dad might have shot him if I hadn't been home.Frogs in OK always bring that story to mind.

Hey folks, if you ever plan to come to DFW to shop or anything else, do it next week if the Cowboys win today. I just got back from the store and since the Cowboys are playing right now, the streets are like a ghost town! It's unbelievable; and will be even more so next week if they win today and the Packers come to town..
