But, OK news would tend to be quite important here... So, if the mods don't mind, I say post away! (NOTE, I'm an "outlander" waiting to be an Okie, so we should defer to the decision of the moderators... They've done an outstanding job so far...) M. |

I usually just copy the whole article from the newspaper, because the links get out of date.

I'm really sorry that the link doesn't work. News stories are fascinating, but I'd just like to post the City Data rules.
You can post a sentence or two of the article or a brief summary to draw interest. Then you can provide the link. Entire articles aren't allowed because of copyright issues. I know you'll all understand. ![]()

I do. Gosh, I wish that link worked. What happened was this: a 1 year old boy fell into a swimming pool and the mother got him out and carried him into the house to try to revive him. The EMTs came and were working on him, when a policewoman came;she slipped in a puddle of water in the house. The little boy lived, but he can't function at all. They've put him in a nursing home. The policewoman is suing the family for negligence! She said they neglected to clean the water up in the house, otherwise, she wouldn't have slipped! I guess the mom should have cleaned the water up instead of trying to revive her son!

Warning! Incoming Rant!
That policewoman can suck her police whistle and eat her badge! That is crazy. I bet a rotten stinking greedy lawyer is behind that one. That story makes me want to puke. The police woman should pick her fat behind up off the ground and remember falling on your @#% is good for you once in a while. That family has enough grief with their baby being invalid. Sheesh. On a calmer note, we could use an okie new thread. We also need someone like John1960 to scour the web and find us stories. *to give us an excuse to rant, I suppose. ![]() |

Peggy, We can't post the entire news story, just snippets, but a thread on Ok news can be started.

OK, I will remember not to do that.
I posted some links once to a news story in the Oklahoman, but they did not work after a day went by.A news thread might be interesting, just about news in OK. Maybe a news and weather thread together. |

Do you folks think it would be better to create a sub forum rather than another sticky?

Maybe a sub forum about tornadoes news and weather. Maybe we need a sub forum just about tornadoes.
