Our family is thinking about moving to SE Oklahoma. I've read many previous threads. I have lots of questions. How bad is the humidity? What about tornadoes? What is available for healthcare? I'd appreciate any and all info. Thanks so much.

Hi Millipede

The humidity can be bothersome in the hot months. SE Oklahoma is more humid than western Oklahoma.

Tornadoes are not as big or as common in SE Oklahoma as in the western part of the state, but you could still have one, just as Arkansas and Mississippi have tornadoes.

Healthcare is available in the towns, but you are getting far away from the major big hospitals in OKC and Tulsa. Most of the bigger towns will have a small hospital.
