So, I suppose I'll give away my old printer where I've just put a new expensive... grrrrr... black ink cartridge and also my old scanner. Really needed to print something a few weeks ago or that new ink would not be in the old printer. I'll use Freecycle. Does anyone here use Freecycle? I have for years, both giving and receiving items and have met some nice people. One has become a good friend.

I have never used freecycle, but I would be kind of leery of using anything like that. We had some freak come over saying he was looking for free tires advertised and he was a looking for trouble or some place to burglarize later, IMO.

I also bought a new printer. But I have not set up the fax part of it. I wish they would move into a simplify direction. This new printer of mine has a computer touch screen on it.

I've given away a LOT on Freecycle and never had a problem. Never even had an incident or scare. Occasionally someone will just email with the words "I want it" and even if they are first to ask, they don't get it. Oddly enough, several times, the person coming to pick something up is from the next block. It's happened 3 different times from different addresses.

Freecycle isn't nearly as active as it used to be, so I don't pay much attention to it anymore. Thought about getting a printer with a fax, but didn't see one cheap enough. I only use a fax when out of town pharmacy needs a new prescription from my doc. I pay a dollar at the library.
