Default Teaching soon--Tahlequah maybe?

My family and I (I'm the kid...well, 22, but still live at home, haha) almost moved to Tahlequah two years ago, and it fell through. I liked the area, at least after visiting a couple days. For those who know, how's the teaching market? Is there a need, or do the NSU grads take all the jobs? I'll have a degree in teaching grades 4-8 at Arkansas Tech University by May 2009. I'll probably stay around Arkansas for a year or so, but I want to see how things are there just in case I can't find a job around here.

For those who live there, how is Tahlequah from the inside? How is shopping? I don't need big city things...just a Wal-Mart, a place to rent movies, and a couple of fast food joints. I don't remember a lot about the place, so give me an idea of how it is, if you could.

Tahlequah has all the usual Wal-Mart, movie rentals, and quite a few fast food joints. I have been there quite a lot while visiting the Illinois River.

I don't know how the teaching situation is there, but you might as well apply for a job in Tahlequah. You never know, they might need someone with just your qualifications.

Yes, we have a Walmarts here, and some very nice restaurants. We have Hollywood movie rentals, one at the grocery store, and I am not sure if there is another. We also have a theater. We also have a few department stores, but they are not any better than Walmarts. Nearby Muskogee has a small mall. Sorry I can't help youu on the teaching.
