I like it. for the couple of acres I mow it is pretty good. If you mow too fast ( you aren't supposed to go more than 5 mph) you end up with rows of missed stuff, but if you take your time it does a good job. Of course, as usual, I wait till the grass is 4' high, then it takes a lot longer and a lot of stuff is laid down rather than cut. I would LOVE to get a self contained baler...........am gong to try to get a disc and maybe a harrow later this year for the atv.....and I really need a loader and blade........I'm a guy......I need lots and lots of toys........

That's why I didn't mention cows. But the African pygmy goats are cute as buttons and quite capable of fighting off predators, Jacob goats just plain look cool with all the extra horns, Angoras look [and taste] good, and there is at least one type of sheep that is milkable, though I can't remember what it is right now. Covers all the bases.

Does anyone have a zero turn mower? Those look pretty cool, but don't know if it's worth the price of admission. I'd probably settle for a used anything. Although, the goat/sheep idea is eco-friendly. However, don't link me with the green crowd just yet because I have a terrorist juice sucking Ford Expedition. When I bought it, gas was at $1.25/gal. Now, it should be $4/gal when I come out to visit in April.

I hadn't thought about the eco-possibilities, I just like the multipurpose idea. And I don't like the noises of chainsaws, mowers, etc. People always seem to want to use them when I'm asleep. On the other hand, a riding mower would be fun, until I broke something and had to spend $$ to get it fixed. I'd just rather pay a veterinarian than a mechanic [no offense to the mechanics] and I can't see well enough to learn to do it myself. And weird things do happen to mechanical/electronic things around me - I've been told many times that 'Gee, I've never seen something like that before...'

Right now, I have an electric cordless mower that's pretty quiet. I also have a weed whacker that's cordless and has the automatic line feeder. You just plug them in and unplug when needed. Saves on gas and my garage doesn't smell. I recommend both, which are made by Black and Decker.

Back to the jobs, is OG&E good to work for? Anyone out there employed by them?
