What is the daily life in Oklahoma? Do you have to keep your ears plug in to the weather station or radio all day? Or carry a GPS in the car to know how to escape a world wind?

If it is a world wind, wouldn't you have to leave earth to escape it?
most days, I get up, have breakfast, work a bit. take a nap. have lunch. take a nap. work a bit. have dinner. go for a walk with five dogs, four goats, a guinea hen named Bertha, and a sheep named Harvey. We walk in the woods behind the house that leads to the wildlife area on the Cimarron River a mile away. I then go home, take a nap, and work a bit more, then go to bed for the night. When my work requires me to be out in the field in the mornings, I try to do it on Friday so I have lots of garage sales to keep me awake. If I have to go a long way on a work day, I take my fishing tackle so I can have some relaxation time. On occasion I will go to a concert or a restaurant or a coffee shop......I went to see Reba McIntyre and Kelly Clarkson a couple of weeks ago (great concert)........I went to a all-you-can-eat catfish restaurant a week ago as well (is $6.00 for a catfish dinner too much?) anyhow, that is what my daily life is like.....people who have jobs do things different, I understand. |

I get up and get on the computer and read my email, read City Data, go to another website that I have and moderate it, and then i go on second life for a while. In the meantime I eat breakfast. Then I shower, clean up the house some, depends upon how dirty it is. Then if I have to go shopping, I shop for groceries, go to Reasor's, Walmarts, or a lumber yard, or a flea market, antique store, thrift store, gargage sales, OR if I have a volunteer job to do I go to that. Talk on the phone or visit friends. If it is nice out I work in the yard, but it hasn't been nice enough for too many days this winter, but when spring comes I will be in my garden for hours during the day. So then I either read, write letters, or bake cookies. I have a craft to do this year since I am making German Feather Trees for Christmas gifts for friends and family this year. If I have to fix dinner I do that, but my DH often fixes smaller type meals for himself. And then unless it is raining out, I walk my two dogs in the acreage next door. Then I sit down to the CNN around 5 and at 7 p.m. we either continue with CNN or Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, and then I go to bed and my DH watches movies. On some nights we watch American Idol. I have a very hard life, but someone has to do it. |
