I predict 2 things....
1. A comment from GP about calf fries.
2. A comment or more from Peggy.
She's going to feel like she's teaching 8th grade again.
BTW....
This huge thing that looks like a cross between a dragon fly, a moth and
a giant ant keeps landing on my screen out here on the porch...
It's about 2.5 inches long with 4 wings.
It apparently enjoys reading this forum.
Never saw one of those in NH...
Anyone have a clue what it is?
I flicked it away a few times and I haven't been stung or bitten,
so I guess that's good thing.
GP's dog tried to eat it a few times but it keeps getting away.

Sounds like your basic Skeeter Eater... (crane fly)
If you think THAT is huge, you are in big trouble...

I'm so happy I don't have to teach 8th grade anymore. That was cruel and unusual punishment.

No, I'm quite familiar with crane flies....
This thing was significantly bigger,
and since I never saw one in the daytime,
I'd assume it's also nocturnal.

I have noticed that the red wasps look pretty healthy.
They make the ones in NH look anemic by comparison.

My wife subbed for a while in NH...
She didn't mind 8th grade, but she didn't like
1st grade... The kiddies were to needy.
