I think the past two seasons have been unusal weather from what I hear...the serious ice storm with 10 days without power, and the flooding. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with the future seasons

It's amazing. Look at how much precipitation already this year. 3.8 inches in Tulsa area just in July. I wonder how much more we will get.

It's not just bad weather in Oklahoma, look at the recent hurricane seasons. Look at all the western wildfires/mud slide problems, look at all the upper midwest flooding (Iowa, Wisconsin), earth quake a couple months ago in Illinois, etc. We are in a wild weather pattern and it may just be the beginning!

Yes I agree...each region is having some unusual and diffcult weather and/or disasters. Utah where I moved from had record snowfall in over 100 years or something like that. I moved just before all that hit.

And Sen. Inhofe saying that global warming is the world's greatest hoax doesn't help matters one bit. Please join with me in not voting for him come November. He's been a career politician more than long enough.

Depends on what part of Oklahoma you are in, and what you consider southern.

Yup. Down in the Southeastern part (little Dixie) you'll hear more of an accent. But other parts of the state are a mix to no accent at all. I would assume the panhandle area has people with the fewest accents.
