Smile Any American Airlines Employees?

Am thinking of putting a transfer into TUL or TULE as a Fleet Service Clerk. Am young(23) with a bit over 2 years seniority in the company(theres about 8 people with recall rights before me) for full time there. I really want a change of lifestyle. I work in MIA hub and would love to get some input on what your experience working for AA in Oklahoma is like.

Am planing a trip down there as soon as I can get through a buncha CS's for some spare cash to spend on trip. How is the OT or the CS situation? Easy to get extra hours or do you have to be in the click? Also, sounds silly but how is the equipment supply there? Miami Intl Airport is a crapshoot to say the least. We have a terrible shortage of dollies, doubles, can's, carts, tugs, FMC's, you name it we need it. Two guys just got into a fight the other day over a tractor. It is amazing this place runs and we make some much money.

How is your bag room or line work? I personally prefer heavy gates but theres quite a few in Miami who complain if they get more then 3 flights in 8 hours... Our bag room is even worse, Made for about 30000 pax a day, if we get more then that, it just goes to.... well you know. Bags burn and people just don't seem to care, and it drives me crazy. People disappear for 3 hour lunches, you notify the CC and well no one shows up. Nothing they can do. Thats if the CC is around. But our union guy seems to show up when ever things are great. lol

Would really like to pick someones brain on how your operation runs down there, where they live in regards to the airport, and how they like working and living there.

The question I ask to all the senior guys at work; If you knew then what you know now, would you do it again?

Thx in advance for any knowledge.

I don't work for AA so can't answer any questions except that I have a friend who is a mechanic for AA, lives in Skiatook.

Good luck!
