Way back when I worked as a cocktail waitress, we used to get whatever napkins the dealer had on hand. One delivery was a couple cases of ones that said "Stroh's spoken here." Guy came in, saw the napkins and got all excited - "I want a Stroh's, I haven't had one for ages!" One of the other waitresses looked at him and shook her head. "We just speak it," she said. "We don't sell it."

Yes and no. The preivous owners had an electric dryer, so I had to get the plumber out to connect our gas dryer. Then today the washer overflowed and I have to get the plumber back out again tomorrow. Our truck and car still haven't arrived, our wireless internet isn't working even though Cox has been out twice, my son is still depressed, my daugher still hasn't unpacked even one box, my husband is working 12-14 hours a day and is stressed beyond the max.

I, on the other hand, had a lovely conversation today with Mama Lou. She's a wonderful "youngster" who was in front of me at the supermarket today. She celebrates her 87th birthday tomorrow. Everyone in the supermarket knew her, and she told us all about how her son was coming for her Friday night to take her to dinner and "out on the town." Then when she left, the teenage bagger told me all about her and her visits to the store.

My son got a job today from a temp agency that he starts tomorrow, and he started his GED classes at the Mustang Community Center tonight. So hopefully things will settle down for him.

Things are moving along -- it all takes time. Oh -- we still haven't pumped out our storm cellar. That has to be next on my (very long) list.

Thanks for asking. Even with everything going on, I'm still having a ball.

You are the rock for the rest of your family, Colleen. With a new job your son will have something else to think about. It must have been so hard for him to leave his girlfriend.
