I'm sure you have them up in Ohio too. Its one of the things I really like about Oklahoma. What part of Oklahoma are you folks looking to relocate to?

Western OK tends to be flat and treeless,

You should have a blast just taking in the scenery. And remember, some of the cheapest buffets are at the larger casinos. Not sure if you like the atmosphere, but they are cheap.
What parts of west OK have'nt you to? Duncans on the West with rolling hills a plenty of woodland.

I didn't know you all were interested at all in SE Oklahoma. If you are in the Holdenville area, we show you around. Are you just going rural or will you want to go through OKC & Tulsa?

Hey, that's a good suggestion about the buffets Redbird. I hadn't thought of that since we don't have Casinos in OH yet. And, we will definitely check out the scenery.

This trip we'll be doing more rural things rather than larger city stops. I did get a neat map from the tourism website that is an agricultural map. It shows wineries, lavender farms & other types of farms. As for the thunderstorms, I like them too. I'm sure you get much more hail in OK than we do. I like the clean air that blows up before the rain comes.

For relocation, we are interested more of the eastern part of OK. We would like to be around some hills, trees & lakes. As for north or south of eastern OK, we really aren't sure. We'll need jobs, so that will make a difference. We're going to sneak this trip in before Seabeebolt gets back to laying asphault for the season so we'll be checking out smaller towns to see what catches our fancy. We're not in a position yet to buy a house (doggone-it!).
On the eastern side we want to check out the Poteau area & up north at Tahlequah for sure.

We want to visit Lawton since Seabeebolt was stationed there yrs. ago when he was in the Army. We might be able to get a room there on base since he's retired. They're usually inexpensive.

For other stops in between we pretty much are open to ideas.

Thanks for the offer Peggy...we'll keep in you mind. We'll have to make some more specific plans here soon. Time is ticking away.

CG, I told Seabee about your post re: our computer. We're going to talk to them Monday again. We've lost a photo program & still having some difficulties with MSN.

Sorry for rambling everyone.

If that ALL that's wrong with it, it's probably
not a virus or malware issue.

Try reinstalling both of them.

If you want to see the best scenery, go to Tahlequah, then to Poteau, then south from Poteau to Broken Bow. Not really much in agriculture down that way but it is the prettiest place in OK. Or, just go west on 270 from Poteau (including Holdenville, hint) then through the Davis/Pauls Valley area that sounds like your kind of place, on your way to Lawton.

Hmmmm, Peggy that sounds like a pretty good idea. We were pretty sure we'd start in the East first. If we take a southerly route first, on the way to Lawton, we can always take a more Northerly route on our return back & see something a little different that way too. Make a loop so to speak.

CG, I think we have more problems than I previously posted. This thing is still super slow even moving between pages on City Data. Seabee sent 2 pictures via email to a family member this AM & they called to tell him there was some bad stuff attached to it?! This relative sent us photos too but we can't open them. We re-installed MSN 2 times last week. When Seabee took the pc back to the computer place again late last week I think they re-installed MSN again. These guys normally have been good in the past - not sure what's happened this time. They haven't charged us for the 2nd trip. Needless to say, we're taking this thing back again tomorrow.

In that case, see my original post on the subject
on the previous page.

Sorry you guys are having problems...

When I (and you) get to OK,
I can recommend a decent trouble-shooter
who can solve your problems...
(Guess who?)

Tell Seab to read the Okie Tech thread and secure
his confounded, infernal machine so that doesn't happen again.

I'm not saying that this has anything to do with it, but I have always had problems with MSN. every time I loaded it or just connected to it, the screen resolution on all MSN, IE and windows pages weres enlarged and over sized.
