Tornados or snow?
I am so glad I found this site. Looking to move and it will help me decide it I really want to leave Maine and the 170 inches of snow we got this year.
The days are long and cold, the cold frozen snow is squeaky beneath my boots. When the temp hits 35 and people say it nice I have had enough of and I have l lived in Maine forever. The state is beautiful but enough already. I would like long sunshiny warm days and pasture for my horses.
Southeastern Ok is looking very tempting except the the tornados and snakes.

Sorry, GP, no "joisie" accent here -- I lived closer to Philly, so if I have any accent at all it would be PA. As far as being an "Okie", I did have someone ask me the other day if I had joined a church yet (the lady behind the counter in the cleaners), which I understand is an Okie trait. She then invited me to her's, which we are considering.
We finally got our storm cellar pumped out today. And several neighbors have stopped by to introduce themselves, including the 16 year old girl next door, which made Anna happy. Except she told Anna if she ever wants to "kick it", to give her a call. Okay, Cali-Okie girl, what does "kick it" mean? We're assuming it's the Okie way of saying "hang out"
Everyone is still depressed/stressed, but it will all take time to adjust. I just feel like I'd like to go to bed and sleep for two weeks

She's still gotta get stung by either a wasp, scorpion, or had 30 or more chigger bites at once.
Then she has to have a little TV on top of one of those big ol' console TV's. And there are a few other traits before she gets "bona fide" stamped on her forehead.

Well, maybe we could say she's taken a big first step toward Okiehood.

Southeastern OK? I wouldn't worry too much about tornadoes there.....you get a few snakes, but not too bad....I would be more concerned about Bigfoot throwing rocks at you than snakes or tornadoes........

"I'M SO PROUD!! SHE'S ALL GROWN UP!!!!!!!" Lol. The kid's got a sense of humor too. I really did laugh out loud at this one . . . in a good way. Thanks for giving me my laugh for the day, Cali_Okie.
