Question costs of different counties?

Whoa,I am a computer illiterate so I have to do everything the hard way Moderator cut: link to a competitors site removedHope that comes out right. Why such big cost differences per month per neighboring counties? Adair 512,Cherokee 649,LeFlore 570 and Latimer 480 (this is dollars per month for mortgage holders). I wish the list was current,I'd like to see the comparisons.

Default average monthly cost

Went back and looked up the average monthly cost of housing without a mortgage Adair 184,Cherokee 204,Latimer 191,LeFlore 210. Much closer grouping in cost. The only 2 variables I can think of are the cost of the dwelling and mortgage insurance?

Do you mean COL, without figuring in the mortgage? If so, it probably includes taxes and homeowner's insurance. The homeowner's insurance varies - the cost goes up with the distance from a firehouse. And if you figure in flood insurance in areas where it would be a very good thing, that would add to it. Mortgage insurance [title insurance?] would be included in the mortgage payment, so that wouldn't be a monthly variable.

Default Thank You!!

Yup-I had to go to each county at city-data.com and get the information on homeowner costs without a mortgage.I believe it is based on value of property-the higher costs from county to county. There is not that much change from county to county if you don't have a mortgage so it's got to be in the home price.
