Default Severe Weather News??

Just overheard one of our storm-spotters say that OKC was just "hit" and there is damage to the Capitol Building... I get nothing on TV and see no rotation on the radar. (yet ) Cells are popping up all around though.

None of the local stations are on coverage right now. Maybe it was hail damage. If it was a tornado I'd highly doubt they'd be off coverage already.

Thanks Nameless. I don't get Gary down here.... It's odd that one of them would say something if it wasn't confirmed, but maybe he misheard. He did mention "possibly straightline wind".

Oh, you must be watching with an antenna then, I'd assume you get channel 9 on cable. This was out of the Lawton station I assume?

Yes, we're on an antenna... the spotter I overheard was on my Scanner though, he was reporting to another spotter near us.

The Lawton station KSWO hadn't mentioned anything... that's why I came here. Usually I would get a newsok update... so he must have been mistaken.

According to Channel 8 in Tulsa, the storms seem to be tracking (really fast) from around Seminole (western edge is Prague) up into Cherokee county. the eastern half of OK is under a tornado watch until 10 PM. (I-35 east)

It's after 5:00pm...
By GP's Tornado rules,
I guess you'll be sitting on the porch with a scotch.

not yet....it is sunny and dry right now. it'll probably get a little violent out later, around dark. THEN I will have the scotch and be sitting on the porch......unless it doesn't happen till late, then I will just go to bed.
