Default oil and gas leases in Wood county, oklahoma

I hope I am doing this the right way. Is anyone familiar with what oil and gas leases are going for per mineral acre in Woods County Oklahoma? Specifically in the area section 35-29N-14w. I live in Arizona and have been approached to lease my interest plus a royalty. I would appreciate any information one may have regarding values of leases. Many years ago I was a Landman but that was the late 70's in Texas. Thanks for the help.

I don't have an answer, but you might go to this website. Looks like someone asked a similar question for another county.

Hello Jaywick,
My family is talking with some people who are offering $350. per acre in Haskell County OK. Whatever you do ---do not sell your mineral rights, keep them. It covers oil, gas, coal and any others. I believe the per acre amount a person can get may be much higher. The royalties will probably come if a well is ever drilled. Sometimes they lease but never drill so you don't get a royalty. Go for the 3 year lease would be my advice and get money upfront for any surface damage---roads---pipelines, etc. Sometimes this can be several thousand dolars, depending on the size of property you have.
You also may contact these places---Chesapeake Oil/Gas---1-405-843-0573 and ask about leases for the area you are talking about. They will probably give the contact person for that county. Also e-mail Chesapeake at --oinquirydo@chk.com. Another contact ----another company is---opec@oilandgascompany.com-----I hope this helps. PS---I also saw on 60 minutes the other night where the leases in 3 eastern states---Pennsylvania being one of them were getting $1000. to $2000. and mor per acre-----so we are doing more investigating. Those states were getting the lower rates like Oklahoma just a couple of years ago?????? So Figure--take your time and get the best deal and "GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING"----read the fine print, then read it again and if you have any questions in your mind ask the lessee the questions you want answered.

Good post, rholokla.

In some areas in OK you can get $2500 per acre. It just depends on what area is "hot" right at the time.

Default minerals

Did you lease your minerals and would you be interested in selling them?
