Default small towns around Tulsa

Anyone know of any small towns around Tulsa that have that Mayberry feeling? Husband is gettting a job in Tulsa but I want to live in the country or small town-not the city.
thanks

Look at Cleveland or Mannford to the west; Beggs or Okmulgee to the south; Coweta or Wagoner to the southeast; Choteau or Pryor, to the east; Oolagah, Collinsville, Skiatook, Sperry, or Nowata to the north. All of them are pretty nice small towns.

GP nailed it...I was born in Nowata OK 1952 and moved to Tulsa 1954-1976 and 1988-1990 , so I know the area however I can add just a few more local towns.Try Lenapah near Nowata and Lighting Creek...Hominy near Skitook.....
try the area between Sapulpa and Bristow...near Coweta and Wagoner try
Leanard and Porter maybe Tahlequah....near Choteau and Pryor try (Grove) and (Locust Grove)...if you don't mind being in a border town (Kansas and Oklahoma) try Coffeyville Kansas-Oklahoma.

I don't consider Sapulpa a "Mayberry " type of town. It is a small city.

Yep. Haskell might not be a bad choice either (south). Easy access to town, but not in town and not really a suburb either. Pretty much in between Tulsa and Muskogee.
