I know what y’all gonna say. AOC is left of the left, left for Democrats, even left of Schumer and Pelosi, I think we have almost an entire nation in agreement on this.

But....
1) your late 19th century history has American socialism in it.
The collective farm, the commune sort of propagated in Oklahoma the musical. Then you gave Woodie Guthrie grassroots “this land is your land...this land is my land” that’s Okemah

2) Your ancestors were sympathetic to a religious form of socialism. Your organic produce fills the mam and paps of Dallas Tx farm to table restaurants...like “Whiskey Cake” in penn sq mall OK City, it’s progressive healthy fresh from the soil

3) Your poorer farmers and native people have commonality with the prairie people In Canada and they have a rural NDP party it’s Liberal non-urban political leanings. Your 1930s New Deal helped impoverished family farms with subsidies, a progressive endeavor

4) you’ve heard of the red dirt band Cross Canadian Ragweed they are Oklahoman and share same initials as long-Haired hippie Creedence Clearwater Revival

So with a certain targeted group of Oklahomans could there be any kind of shout out of the 7% of true born and bred middle aged Oklahomans who consider support for a future Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez presidency?

This is hi comedy.

No.

And I'm a Democrat. A Super-Blue Dem like many of us are in Oklahoma, but a Dem none the less.

Yes, certainly. There are people of all political types in Oklahoma. It's just there's many more of the right wing bright red types.

Oklahoma was in the forefront of a certain type of rural populist left leaning economics. Ground zero in fact. OSU economics classes still injected some of that stuff into the lectures as late as the 1980's.

But, that woman is simply not smart. She is a fraud. She has a high school level understanding of economics, if even that. So, we are wasting our breath.

The better known Paul Krugman also has a degree in economics, and conservatives love to hate him.

Me, too! Time for some fresh blood and fresh ideas in Congress. AOC is not dumb either.

The young new people in Congress give me hope for the future. Go get 'em, young'uns!

I heard her speak about the progressive income tax system. It sounded like someone's daughter just heard some stuff in college and then came home to "educate" her parents all about it.

She is not bright, don't care about the degree.

You sadden me, and im 28. I dont want to pay for your socialist programs, I dont owe you or your children or your neighbors anything. Why should I have to pay for your medical, your schooling, your welfare, your anything?

Nip the bud off the democrats and welfare programs, 100% eliminate birth citizenship, heavily fine countries and deport / charge the nations for every deportation. If an illegal makes a good living here, their home, cars etc, once caught. Take everything and auction it off to pay towards the illegal debt we've accrued. No more being nice, I am completely against everything the democrats stand for. 100%!!
