Thanks everyone! I have a few areas to look into now. I appreciate it! I had noticed Mustang had no land, at least that I was seeing, which was why I thought I would ask here for ideas on other towns and areas to look into.

And as for the weather, of course we don't enjoy the thought of a huge tornado. But that is just something that seems to come with living in any of the areas in the country we would consider living in. And having talked to family out there, none of them have a fear of them. Everyone has assured me that we will get into our routine, learn how to handle it and it will become as natural as huge wildfires have become in my life.
We will have a generator, that is something I think people living anywhere should have, we are used to the power being shut off for hours or days at a time, so that part will be pretty normal for us.

Here is a 4 bedroom home on 5 acres not far from Cushing. Price not given. It looks pretty nice, if 5 acres is enough.

Default Timber Ridge all the way!

My husband and I recently bought a lot of land from this incredible new development in Latimer County called Timber Ridge Estates! They have their very own private community with very few rules and regulations. We are in the early stages of building but we have a GORGEOUS view of the hills and mountains surrounding Sardis Lake! Not to mention all of the hiking and fishing!!!!

Would definitely have room for all your chickens, haha!

Check it out! They just listed a bunch of new properties
