Durant's a nice place. It's not as hilly or green as parts further East, but it's more hilly and green than parts further West!

It's the home of Southeastern State University. Did you know that is where Dennis Rodman (The Worm) went to college? Not that it's anything to brag about..

Born and raised in Norman. Lived in a few other places (East coast and West, Texas, Florida) and there ain't no place better than OK.
Best food.
Best land.
Best fishing.
Best music.
Best women...plenty of hot Southwestern Belles running around
Best culture.
Best state.
Best people. (Period.)

I did not know that is where he went to college. I was never a big fan of his but good to know. I thought all of Oklahoma was green "green country" but then my husband said it referes to the eastern part. I just heard Durrant was a nice city from others too.

I wasn't born here, but my father's family was from around Norman, and DH's was from further northeast, near the Missouri border. That makes me an almost-native.

Native is a status; Okie is a state of mind. I think you're an Okie.

I am doing my best to become an Okie also but I will probably have to be a little more friendlier. I am not that outgoing but thats the midwestern in me.
