Athlon, Lindy's and Phil Steele's all have OU ranked either No. 3 or No. 4, consider quarterback Sam Bradford a Heisman Trophy contender and project the Sooners to go to a third consecutive Fiesta Bowl.
You would think that I grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from OU, I LOVE SOONER FOOTBALL!!!
I started a few years ago, but after going to the Red River Rivalry last year, I am completely hooked. We went to the OU club of Dallas party at one of the host hotels and it was so fun! The band and cheerleaders came and it was totally crazy!
Now I'll take college football over professional any day of the week.
I just hope they don't get embarrassed on the national scene once again. I love OU, but they are beginning to remind me of the Buffalo Bills of the early 90s; constant returns to big games only to lose.

I want another National Championship!! Go OU!
You must be referring to Ohio State, they've been blown out of the last two national championship games, NOT OU!!
At least OU is getting to a BCS game each year, 99% of the other D1 teams would love to be in their position each and every year!
This year's schedule is very favorable, unless they have another brain cramp (like at TT last year), they should be playing for the big enchilada.

No, I'm talking about getting totally humiliated by USC three years ago, then Boise State beat them two years ago, and then last year beaten by another underdog West Virginia by 20 points.. Do you see a trend there?
USC was definitely the better team three years ago, but come on! West Virginia and Boise State?
Trend? Not really, and here is the reason. OU is all, and only about winning national championships and conference championships. When they are not playing in one, they are simply not motivated. The USC national championship game was the one that had me scratching my head, not any of the others. Just ask Malcolm (big game no show) Kelly if the team is motivated when they are not playing for championships! A reporter asked him on the plane back from the west virginia game last year what happened and he said, "who cares, it wasn't for a championship". I rest my case!
That's not a good attitude or excuse for a loss and if I were Kelly I'd be ashamed of such a comment. Using that logic, you're practically guaranteeing a loss in a big time bowl game unless it's the national championship game and I don't buy it.
I agree, I don't like it either, but if you have ever listened to Stoops, he always emphasizes championships, conference and national championships. It appears his players have taken that to literally! When your super stars start making those comments, Stoops needs to recalibrate his teams!
