Default Techienomad, in country!

Folks, I made it. The escape from California was initiated on June 5, 2008 at 830p. With a stop in Albuquerque, we finally landed on the homestead. I made sure to double-back a few times to hide my tracks. I saw numerous other conestoga wagons (Budget and U-Haul) also taking the escape route. Not sure where they were headed, but definitely away from California. Anyway, we made it with only a few broken items, not bad since we packed it ourselves. We got everything hooked up and are back in business. Good to be here with Y'ALL. Just finished up eating a Braum's banana fudge sundae, so I need a tall glass of milk to wash it down. I look forward to the conversations.

Welcome, welcome. I'm so glad you and your family made it safely. I just started a job at Braums Monday, so I know you got a good sundae! Just jump right in with all the conversations going on right now.

When you crossed over the CA border did you hope that you never had to drive back through CA and had you hoped to never see CA ever again. I sure did. Where did you land in OK? And welcome to OK.

Well, while crossing the CA/AZ border, it had the feeling of Moses parting the Red Sea in the Ten Commandments. Heavy feelings were lifted off of my shoulders, the sun beaming into my eyes (well headlights anyway), and a renewed sense of hope/destiny. I landed in Soonertown, USA - Norman.

You have to love Braums and the convenient locations. I'll probably go back today and get a cherry limeade.
