Looking for a small town. Can you help? :-)
If we are looking for a small town feel. Old bridges, near by lakes, nice trees, but the city close enough (1hr drive is ok). Low low crime, friendly people. Where would I want to look?
Let me add. No flood zone areas not tornados is possible. Less snow is better. Not none, just less.
Thanks.

There are many small towns in Idaho like Garden Valley, Cascade, McCall, etc. (Maybe I shouldn't let it out that Idaho is such a great area though.) I always thought Idaho would be dull and boring, but I have lived in many places around the US and Idaho is my favorite.

Okmulgee is a 7 on crime. Cleveland seems to be the best at 3?

How small is small to you? Under 40,000? 10,000? 1,000? And how large of a "City" does she need to shop?
Down in the southern part where we are is Marlow, OK. Very nice small town, lots of beautiful mature trees. Within 15-20 minutes of 5 lakes. (closest is about 10 minutes)
15 minutes to Duncan (where we live) and a Super Wal-Mart. 30 minutes to Lawton and lots of larger stores. And just over an hour to Oklahoma City where you can find just about anything you heart desires!

We live in 60,000 now. and it's ok. 10,000 or less is fine. But more than 2500 though. Help?
Going to look up Marlow too
UPDATE: Look up Marlow. Looks good. Any pictures?
Thanks

I like my small town, Holdenville, about 3,500 people. Most things are within walking distance, and if you can drive [I can't] there's a lot more available, either in Seminole or further north, Tulsa. Lots of trees, rolling hills, a lake nearby, friendly people. There are a lot of pictures of it in this forum - do a search for almost any town that interests you, and you'll most likely find at least a few pictures.
