Octoberfest
Is there any good Octoberfests in Oklahoma? I knew of some in central Texas when I lived there. Was looking for a little town to spend the weekend.

One of the most spectacular Oktoberfests in the United States is held in Tulsa.
Tulsa's Oktoberfest has been consistently ranked in the top ten Oktoberfests in the entire country (if not even the world). In fact, it was ranked number 2.
Quote from article: " It's a surprising spot for Oktoberfest, but there are few cities that host a better German festival than Tulsa. In fact, Bon Appetit magazine calls it one of the top German food festivals in the U.S. and USA Today included the city in its list of Top 10 places in the world to celebrate Oktoberfest."

Sounds great! I'll seriously consider going, if circumstances permit.

You should go Ted. I haven't been in two decades and it is even more spectacular now than it was then. I intend to go this year.

Nope, not a decent one anywhere. The Tulsa one has too much beer, carnival foods, and something called a chicken dance..............

Starting in October, I'll be able to take days off from my new job. Maybe I could do this for Oktoberfest.

Most of the locals here have taken to calling it 'Drunkfest'...
I usually at some point during the festivities proclaim to a bar maid after she's given over my pitcher, 'Glasses? I don't need no stinking glasses!'.
