Default Can anyone tell me anything about Brown's Funeral Service in Durant, Ok

Can anyone please tell me what has happened with Brown's Funeral Service in Durant? My mother has her funeral plan there. I went with her when she made them and was helped by the owner, Todd Brown, very kind and sincere. They've buried several from my family and we really liked Todd and the way we were treated. But when I went there to check on her papers, due to her declining health, I asked if Todd was available. The lady told me that he wasn't there at the funeral home anymore. When I asked what happened there was really no answer given, just that he wasn't there anymore. My mother would be very upset to know this. I don't want to have to tell her, because that's who she wanted to take care of her when the time came. Now that Todd isn't there, who is? Should I take my mother's plan to another place? If anyone could please give me advice I would really appreciate it. And what ever happened to Todd Brown? He was very nice.

Mrs. Johnson, I just was made aware of your inquiry about Brown's Funeral Service in Durant. Todd is my son and is a 30% shareholder and I am 70% shareholder in the funeral home. He is no longer active at the funeral home and I have taken over management. I assure you all our pre-paid funerals are intact and we are writing new pre-needs everyday. If you have been there lately you would have seen a marked difference in the appearance of the funeral home inside and out and a caring and professional staff to assist you. Please reaasure your Mother that everything is fine and will be as long as this funeral home is under our ownership. Todd was getting burned out and has chosen to do something different. If you have questions or would like to speak to me anytime please call me on my cell phone 580-889-1506. thanks, Eddie Brown
