Default Just gotta brag on Schousse

Peach Preserves and freshly baked bread

Breakfast

The brandied peaches and the peach butter are almost done. Did I mention that the peaches are from Porter Oklahoma?

Looks good, GP. Congrats to Schousse. I did some strawberry jam when the prices were good. Also pickled my cukes from the garden. I'm waiting for the peaches to come down a bit and I'll do some peach jam. The bread is a good idea. If we come down a bit in temps sometime soon, I think I'll bake a batch myself.

Whine, whine. There are definitely some advantages to being able to drive around and get stuff to do things with. Been about 10 years since I've made any jams or jellies, but only 6-8 months for breads. Besides, the thought of turning the oven on today makes me wanna push the dog out of the way and lay in front of the A/C, too!

Speaking of breads and cooking and such, I just found a recipe for zucchini cookies in my files. If anyone wants it, send me a DM.

Yumm, looks like a slice of heaven on earth. Good job, Schousse.

Kari, I have a better idea. How about if I bring you some zucchini and you make the cookies, share some with us, then we can decide if we want the recipe or not. It might take a few batches for me to make up my mind though... whaddya say?

Now, if only we had some pecans.... hmmm, who do we know with pecans...

Check out this weirdo looking mater from our weirdo garden.

How about if you include some of those tomatos, and a few other things, then we'll see about cookies. AND I have a recipe for chocolate zucchini cake, too.

This is the last one we BBQ'd.

We have space available in freezer camp, so we are shopping for a replacement steer. Hopefully we can get an angus/hereford heifer, so we can keep up our own supply.

We have these now, but they are pure breds.....hate to eat one...........

There were a bunch of cross-breds in the last show and tell times I saw, seems like a lot of people either selling out or downsizing herds.
