There's only two worthwhile restaurants there that I know of, Denny's, there off Highway 412, and Country Cottage (I think that is it's name) just north of the stop sign.

Country Cottage is a buffet, so it could have the problems with fresh veggies that we had earlier this year........but I always heard that it was really good and pretty clean. I've never eaten there, myself.

Denny's is Denny's, so to be suspicious of them is natural.

I rarely stop in Locust Grove, because Chouteau is just up the road a few miles and I like the Dutch Pantry too well. An Amish Buffet is too good to pass up and it is worth waiting for. Same for Thomas's in Pryor and Clancy's in Vinita........Locust rove just doesn't offer something outstanding the way other communities in the area do.

Country Cottage is the one; the HD just said that well water on the property had a rare form of E Coli. There are 10 or 11 people at St. Francis in Tulsa currently suffering from it.
