This much I know:
  • zip code is 74039
  • there is a Turnpike exit there and the town is between Oklahoma City and Tulsa but only about 20 minutes from downtown Tulsa.
  • located just off of Michael Wallis' Historic Highway 66 (and I know that Paul McCartney just recently drove 66.)
  • you can buy land there
  • it is building up out that way
  • Creek County Speedway is there
  • good hunting and fishing
  • Heyburn Lake is nearby--I like what TravelOK. com says about it!
  • TDS is their phone company....I was impressed with how nice they were when I called to ask a question.

Default Creek indian blood? --good news if you want to buy a home!

Kellyville, OK (Creek County) is within the Creek Nation Jurisdictional Boundary.

That means one with Creek Indian blood, buying a home within the jurisdiction should check out Section 184 (HUD website). One very well might qualify for downpayment assistance and closing costs if they are of Creek blood and buy in Kellyville!

Contact:

Muskogee Creek Nation Housing
PO Box 580
Okmulgee,OK 74447
(918) 756-8700 (918) 756-2911

To learn more you could google exactly like this (do include the quotation marks)

"creek nation housing"

"hud section 184 creek nation"

I don't know who Michael Wallis is, but it's right ON old Route 66. And its just a far enough from Sapulpa where you still feel like you are in the country.

Sapulpa has the usual amenities of city life, wally world, etc. But I am sure someone somewhere will lament the lack of snooty stores where you can buy 100 year old goat cheeze from the Swiss Alps.

Citing the Creek Nation benefits isn't going to excite me, and most 'skins already know about the so-called "free" down payments, etc.

Here are a few pics as I blew through Kellyville on my way to Beautiful Sapulpa.

Doh! Looks like the mower crew got too close to the welcome sign.
