Default If you could live anywhere in OK, where would it be?

Where? Also, I'm wondering if the panhandle is nice? I'm assuming it doesn't get humid there.

What do you mean by nice?

I like where I am, but if given a choice, I would probably buy in the flint hills of NE Oklahoma. Somewhere between Salisaw and the Kansas border, east of Highway 69.

I would choose Durant because not only is it the city of magnolias (I remember seeing it on a Durant water tower on U. S. Highway 75), it is in south Oklahoma and is approximately 14 miles from the Texas/Oklahoma border (Red River). Also, Oklahoma City, because Fort Worth, TX and Oklahoma City are very alike, according to many.

I would choose the Southeastern Ouachita Mountains, the Northeastern area (foothills of the Ozarks), or around the Southwestern part of the state near the Wichita Mountains.

The Panhandle would be interesting. Although it is very flat, the humidity is extremely low, which is something that I like very much. They also have some pretty darn cold Winters up there. Summers can be hot but the lack of humidity detracts from that somewhat.

If you like cold temps in the Winter, low humidity in the Summer, and don't mind flat terrain (but still some awesome vistas and great scenery, especially in the Black Mesa area), the Panhandle would be the perfect place.

Don't look for any type of civilization there however. There are hardly any cities other than Guymon that have much of anything. The lack of civilization may be a HUGE plus though...

Black Mesa in the Panhandle...

The Ouachita Mountains in SE Oklahoma...

The Wichita Mountains...
