Default Gas dropping

On October 3rd I paid $3.16/gal for gasoline in Northern OK. Yesterday after work 10/27, I saw gas for $1.99/gal. I guess I'm a bit surprised at this level of 'oversupply' in a little over 3 weeks. Maybe there was something to that speculation idea...

I must say I never thought we'd see prices below $2/gal ever again.

Once the demand picks backup worldwide it will go backup. In the mean time we really need the politcians to get busy with a comprehensive energy policy so that demand does get so close to production. We were very close to actual shortages before demand dropped. We can no long control demand with the emerging economies continued demand for more crude.

...and that would be a wise bet indeed! Dollar is doing well internationally, that has brought the drop in pump prices, not a change in demand or production.

And we have a WINNER.... I filled up for $1.84 a gallon today... while filling up they raised the price to $1.95. Yep $0.11 in ONE DAY....

What a bunch of crap... there is no reason for it. It's all a freakin scam.. Did the oil companies ever think the decline in the economy was thier fault? Just because they are stuffing thier pockets...

It has nothing to do with supply and demand. It has everything to do with the state of our economy. Believe me, once the economy starts back on the uptick, gas will shoot right back up in a hurry!

My husband and I just got home from Lawton, Oklahoma. We filled up the car there for $1.97 per gallon. In Duncan, I saw it for $2.05 per gallon.
