Thanks! It's been a crazy week, but I'm loving it. I love my job. I'm enjoying spending time with my parents. And I got severe tstorms last night, woohoo!!!!

That is the one thing I do not like about Oklahoma, is the severe storms we get. The keep me up a good portion of the night if they occur overnight. That lightning and thunder is too much for me, but I know that Texas is no different, in terms of severe weather. The rain, thunder, lightning, hail, wind, etc.

I love the storms. Thunder, lightning, wind - it's all like the biggest and best fireworks show ever. I won't include tornadoes in there, but for the rest, it's great. A really ripping storm will keep me up at night, too, but for the pleasure of watching, not worrying.
Okay, I admit the bird was cute. Can I have some salsa to go with those tostitos?
Oklahoma storms are beautiful. I have always liked them ever since I was a little kid. I especially like seeing lightning at night from a distance of about 10 miles. The clouds really go haywire.
Congrats on making it to Oklahoma, seahawksweetie!!! I hope all is well and that you are liking your stay here.
Synopsis, that is a really cool video! I would only expect something like that from a Parrot but a Cockatiel? That's crazy! Lol.
Not really. A cockatiel is the smallest of the cockatoos, and all of the exotic hookbills can talk, African and South/Central American parrots, macaws, and the cockatoos from the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. Some are better than others but it's an individual difference, not species related. Even the little parakeets [or budgies] can have surprisingly extensive vocabularies.
My favorite of the birds on YouTube is the cockatoo that dances to the Backstreet Boys, though the Boomer Sooner bird is pretty cute, too.
Man you guys really like Oklahoma storms, huh. I just request that they do not happen between the hours of 10 P.M-6 A.M., lol.
I think Texas Tech might beat OSU because do you remember the longhorns and tech game? Insaneness, lol.
To me, I think that all of those birds you mentioned above can mimic humans is just amazing.
They don't just mimic, some of them are manipulative little conversationalists. The macaw I used to have was excellent at it. As soon as I came home from work, it was "Hello Mom, Love Mom, Love cracker Mom, Cracker? Please Cracker?" Now, how could I resist something like that?
