We don't go to Tulsa as much as we go to OKC, but then we rarely ever go to McAlester, and yet we are equal distance to all three. I kind of think Norman is the best, although we do more business/fun trips to Shawnee than all other cities combined.

The only reason I could think of that would get me to live in any city, even temporarily, would be going to school. But I'd rather stay in my small town and search for online classes - if I ever get the time!

OkC's leadership has shown that it has what it takes to be a great place to live with TONS to offer.
As far as Tulsa having a lot of pubs/clubs Scotslass, I guess that depends. It certainly won't be like Scotland, but you'll find plenty of places to hang out.
As for walkable, it's nowhere NEAR as walkable as European cities, but certain areas (Brookside, etc) are very walkable.
Good luck on your stay in Oklahoma!

As for OKC/Tulsa. You could compare OKC to Ft Worth, more of a cowboy style of town. Tulsa is more like Dallas, more chrome and glass.
That said, I have lived in both. Personally I like Tulsa better, mainly due to the outside activities, all the lakes, rivers. Both cities have several large hospitals, so employment in either would be similar. It seems, to me, that Tulsa is easier to get around. Better freeways.
If we were compairing Dallas/Ft Worth I would always pick Ft Worth

Two months in I'm still gawking at the acres of trees. After the inland valleys of socal its soooo extraordinary. Never heard from anyone that OK was dusty and brown, but more like why would anyone want to move there. Fine with me, actually.
I've found it a beautiful state and as SO glad to be here.
Someday I'll stop taking so many pictures of trees lol

I voted OKC. Tulsa is nice but it doesn't have an Asian community like OKC does, which is important to me.
I am actually seriosly considering moving to OKC pretty soon.

OkC DOES have a pretty substantial Asian community. I love Asian food as I'm married to someone from Japan. Good luck in your move. You'll like OkC a LOT because it's a happening place these days with Bricktown, a new NBA team, lots to do and see, etc.

Besides the fact that this city is closer to the Texas border, I do not know why else I would consider Durant, OK. It seems like a nice city to me.

Where is the Asian community in OKC? Is it similar to the Chinatowns in NYC, Philly and San Fran?
