I like that.
I've seen some police cars in Duncan that are completely black and the side logo "Police" is shaded in.

If that cop were beating you with his night stick, would you like him to slow down or stop?

Society doesn't owe you any special privileges because you are a college student.
You ignored the law.
Stop whining and take responsibility for your own actions.
You sound like someone that thinks you are exempt and think everyone is picking on you. Maybe someday someone will roll through a stop sign and hit you. Will you defend them because they do the same thing you do?
The reason I say this is because I ride a motorcycle. Many vehicles have rolled through stop signs and caused me to take dangerous evasive actions to avoid a collision because rolling glances don't always show you what is coming.
STOP AND LOOK. It might save you from a vehiclular manslaughter charge and being the cause of killling a father of 6 young kids.
OBEY THE DAMN LAW. It only takes a few seconds.
You get absolutely no sympathy from me or from other law abiding citizens or safety conscious drivers.
The few seconds you try to save could cause you a lifetime of guilt or some time in the lockup.
I've been drving for almost 46 years. I've never had a chargable accident. I've rode motorcycles for over 30 years. I've drove busses, tow trucks, semi trucks and in my early days cars that weren't really safe to drive by todays standards. I have a good driving record because I obey the law and look out for others on the road. I did get a speeding ticket in 1986. I had a CDL license for many years. Now that I'm retired I dropped that. But I still take driving as a very serious endeavor. I don't want to take the chance of hurting anyone to save a few seconds and if I do something that gets a cops attention I ain't going to whine about picked on.
I'll manup to it. You should too.

You would not believe how many felons are busted through seemingly harmless traffic violations such as speeding, no turn signal, or no tail lights, etc., not to mention DUI's
If the college kids knew how many felons are sitting in prison because a cop was enforcing the traffic laws, they would be thanking the Police instead of complaining.
That is the reason I don't flash my lights at oncoming cars after I have passed an OHP sitting on the side of the road with a speed gun.

Well now , with all this info I hope he gets the point and thinks about thnking the Officer instead of complaining about it.
And Robhu, two years ago up here in Ohio where I live. A biker was killed by a man that rolled through a stop sign and was under the influence. The killer got off with a small slap on the hand because he was a D.J at WOBL radio station. Oh, and he still has his DL's.

News today in Lubbock. Guy in a Semi truck rolled the nose of his truck into a 4 way stop right in front of a guy on a Harley. He survived so far but is in ICU. He no doubt rolled forward to be able to see, but this is the same thing that happens when tap and rolling through the sign all together.......
I agree 100% with stopping people for this, as stated before many warrants and high profile criminals have been arrested due to ignorant maneuvers such as rolling through stop signs.
I always knew it as a California stop. If that's how you want to act(and try to defend your actions), go to California!!!

OMG Goodpasture, the photo of that patrol car is from Kern County, where I live! LOL
To the original poster, yes it sucks that you got pulled over for rolling a stop sign. But take it for what it's worth, it's lesson to be consciously aware about making a full stop and then scanning the area from now on.
