Some people think it's not a big deal. I've worked 5 fatality accidents that were all caused by someone running a stop sign. They are there for a reason.

What do you have to say about a T-section stop sign where you must stop anyway? What would you say if a person pulls off the street where they live everday several times a day, onto a 60 mile an hour higway, from a very similiar T-section and stop sign? In fact the T-sections are identical in that they both have a stop sign but you have to stop past the stop sign to get a clear view of traffic, and they both require you to turn onto a high speed road, either left or right.
I do this daily, several times a day just to leave my home. People are creatures of habit. It would be automatic to me to stop at an identical T-section and look both ways first.
Yet, I was stopped by a cop and told I didn't stop completely at the sign which is crap, because I did. It was a 90 degree turn, I had to stop anyway, stop sign or not. It's almost impossible to turn 90 degrees without coming to a stop first. Then I was given a seat belt ticket, and........ I won't ever drive without a seatbelt! I'm terrified of being thrown through the winsheild. The cop even saw that my child was still wearing a seat belt in the back, but couldn't put 2 and 2 togther and figure out I'm a seat bealt wearer, and I just removed it to reach into my glove box to get info for the cop!
