Through Assurant Health our policy is DOUBLE what it costs in Oklahoma. I'm telling you, Oklahoma has got to be one of the best kept secrets in this country!
Thanks for you response, I deeply appreciate it.

See what I mean Mitch. I logged on too late today and Synopsis beat me to the punch. (I was thinking the same thing he was).
Of course, I'll accept your lame excuse claiming you were there the day AFTER rather than the day BEFORE with your pick and hammer. What were your last words before the crash? "It's just one little rock sample memento before I leave New Hampshire. Who will miss it?"
I guess all of us wise-'n-himers here have a similar sense of humor...or lack thereof.

Fairfielder and Synopsis,
I have some pretty thick skin thank goodness, and with the wittiness I've observed thus far, it is more than apparent that I need to "think" before I write. lol
Thank you for the humor and for saying, "Hey Mitch, when you move back to Oklahoma try not setting yourself up!!!!"
It's funny you mention taking a rock. A bunch of people were arrested because they were selling parts of the old man on ebay. NOooooooooooooooooooooo, I sure wasn't one of them!!!!
One other interesting fact is, the man who took care of the old man for over forty years retired just months before the old man fell. MMMMMM sounds suspicious! But true!

I am glad to report that my wife and I have set the date for September 2009 to make the move. I showed her pictures of some of the homes available. I quickly learned that all she needed to see was the kitchen! I think some of the laundry rooms we viewed were nicer than most kitchens!
We had about six inches of snow here today. There are parts of NH that are still without power going on one week now. We probably wont see the lawn again until spring along with half of our kids toys!!!
Of course I called my Dad who was in OKC two days ago. His teeth were chattering and he told me it stayed around 16 degrees all day. What a switch, our temps went up to 55 that day! I started to laugh when he said, "Well big fella, can you beat the 70 degrees we just had on Saturday?" The answer to that was no and then he started laughing!

Tulsa set a record temp of 75 last Sunday.Of course that was around noon, and it dropped to an icy 28 or so by dark.....and it has stayed in that range now since Sunday. But then the 50 and rain we will get tomorrow, the 55 on Friday, and the 60 we are expecting on Saturday makes up for it........

Ahhhh. Those are interesting tidbits that I didn't know about people selling the rock and the caretaker (not that they sold the caretaker--you know what I mean). I did know that all that most wives need to see is the kitchen, though. My wife also needs "top shelf" bathrooms. Since I'm a guy, all I need is a tree. (Ewwww).

Great news Mitch. Keep us informed as the date gets closer.
Yes, the temperature swings in Oklahoma can be quite drastic. It's supposed to warm up this week, until Sunday where the high is only supposed to be 27 in Oklahoma and a low of 11 degrees. Brrrr.

Congrats on your decision to move to this great state!
I don't know if yall are religious or not, but I saw that your wife might be concerned about being able to meet people and what not. The best way to get involved in the community and make good friends is to visit local churches and find one you like.

The secret seems to be getting out. The channel 4 news said Oklahoma is now the 19th fastest growing state in population.
