So cold and like a half inch of snow today, woo hoo...ha! Give me some real snow now, it's so cold it might as well. Heard rumors of something fishy next week, but you didn't hear it from me

That sounds unusually cold for down there, doesn't it?

Actually to me, it sounds balmy. We hit 38 below for windchill Monday morning. Sunday our windchills were awful, too.

Bjb123 and I'll trade you weather paterns . This morning we woke up with ice on the raods, trees and power lines.

Oh, and by the way Redbird. I didn't have the flu, I went to the doctor and it turned out to be "FOOD POISONING". Over half of the drivers at the company party and there families got sick from some baddly prepared smoked turkey.

LOL! That is one reason I have always hated smoked turkey. It is not even cooked. It's raw meat that had been immersed in smoke for 3 days.

Deep fry mine and I'll be happy.

The cold hitting WY, NE, etc is by far ten times worse than what we are about to get on Sunday. So, be thankful we are not having a high of MINUS 1 tomorrow!

The lake effect snow is bad enough for me. They can keep that minus 1 stuff in MN and the Dakotas .

And the food poisoning program is not a weight loss program that I would advise anyone to use. Talk about praying to the porcelain God.

Here in Maine right now it is 0 degrees with predicted winds of 50 miles an hour, expecting a foot of snow today and as I write this I am looking out at the barn, sheds and thinking I really should be shoveling the roofs of the house etc....I am 49 yrs and don't want to do it anymore. Just plain tired of it. Takes all day to take care of the animals in this weather. Well, time to put 4 water buckets on the sled and slide them to the barn.
