Redpony68 is on a distinguished road
Default Osage County

Last year I visited Oklahoma for the first time in my life. I have since been 4 times. I have been staying and visiting in Osage County, in particular Pawhuska, Shidler, Ponca City, Fairfax, Hominy, etc.

I loved it!

I live in Southern California and never realized how stressful, crowded, and anxiety ridden people are in So. Cal until I met people in the Osage. It is sooooo much calmer.

I realize I could never make the kind of salary I have here, but I think the peace of mind and less stress are worth relocating for. Any advice?

I have looked at houses in the $25,000 to $50,000 range in the area that are nearly the same in age and square footage as my current home, but on much larger parcels of land. Being a native of the Northwest, rain and snow don't really bother me.

Has anyone here left So. Cal for OK, and if so, any regrets, advice or wisdom?
Thanks,
RP68
