Trying to do a little geneology work here on my gggrandfather Hiram E. Livingston and his wife Martha. Also any information on a Lige Cooper and G.W. Littrel or Lutrell family in the late 1880's or early 1900's. This I think was still indian territory at the time and Hiram died in 1895 and Martha in 1900. I am particularly interested in pictures or editorials of that time and obituaries is any exist. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know where Comanche Territory was. The Cherokee Strip around OKC opened in the later 1800s. I think if you contact the Oklahoma Historical Society in OKC they might be able to help. They have a website and email - at least they did when I contacted them about my ancestor.

Indian ancestry is difficult to trace as not many records survived and ancestors did not talk about their Indian families. The exception I think is if they lived on tribal land.

Thank you for the info. I will give it a shot and see what happens. Comanche is a small town about eighty miles south of OKC on hwy 81 in stehpens county and my gggrandfather is buried in the Fairlawn cemetery there along with the rest of his family and is not of the native american race. Again thank you.
