Default Birds or bats

In North Central OK I've been seeing 'flocks' of birds flying west at sunrise and east at sunset. By flocks I mean thousands of small black birds (or bats) flying in what looks like waves or clouds. Very strange, what are they and where are they going.

At first I thought bats but they are flying during the day, but the flight patterns look similar to the bats I've seen in Austin TX. They seem to follow each other.

I believe they are called "commuter" birds. Either that or maybe they are all male birds that are lost and won't ask for directions.

Birds and bats are natures bug killers. Bats sleep all day and eat from dusk to dawn.

I don't know about OK, but they sure will show up in WA and AK, if you give them half a chance and any kind of nook to hang in. It's actually a lot more difficult getting them to move out of places where you don't want them living! It's neat though, watching them swoop down on skeeters. While bats fly, they don't fly the same way birds do.

Bats are everywhere. I had a bat in my house one night. (I'd never seen a live bat)

I called the police, 'I think I have a bat in my house!!!"
She replied, "I think I'll send the bat patrol".

What I learned was the bat was frantically looking for an exit sign. The next bat that visited was quickly shown the door.

Bat houses bring hats. And bat droppings, And rabies. J'd build in the back forty and not expse pets at night. I spray. No bugs. No bats.

When I was growing up we lived in Porterville, CA, and we had bats on the roof of the business building that my dad owned, and they would often come inside. Right now in my country home we either have a rat or a squirrel in our attic, but my husband isn't interested in getting it out of there at this moment. He said they won't chew the new type of wiring that we have. Whatever it is it squeeks loud, and it has made it nest next to the heater vent. I have seen rat droppings on the window below it so you know what I think. so when the time comes it will have to be after it had babies, and then somehow smoke them out. this out to be fun. But there is a very large opening since he enlarged the bedroom and has not enclosed the attic.
