What's wrong with mazzios? Honest question. It's kind of hard to mess up pizza, IMO...

Did you know that Mazzio's was once called "Ken's Pizza" and was started in Tulsa?

I remember going to the Ken's Pizza in Ada as a teenager. I loved that place. I haven't been to a Mazzio's in some time. There was one Mazzio's Pizza in Grand Prairie, but it closed about 10 years ago.

Yeah, the owner is Ken.

They do have a good array of other options if you're hungry for something other than pizza. It's still a chain though...

I have to agree with HeatherDawn... Their pasta is acceptable, but I won't touch their pizza anymore. I've tried it several times and it was always nasty tasting (to me) Maybe it is just a local thing though?

I wonder what the difference is between the pizza here in Maine and the pizza there... I can't wait to find all this stuff out that most people dont really think about before moving - it's just little things you discover everyday that make it so interesting being in a new place.

NYC Pizza

4775 S Harvard Ave # A, Tulsa - (918) 779-7760

My husband used to buy their pizza years ago, then they moved away. Just recently they moved back and they and their kids opened a pizza place. YUMMY!

if u have pizza hut, dominos, papa johns, papa murphys, then its the same.
for local stuff, you have to try falcones ( the original at may & 65th), the wedge, and hideaway. those are your 3 local options. listen to no one else if they tell you different.

We have the first three, but not Papa Murphy's. Dominos and Papa John's are great... I don't care for Pizza Hut, though. And I'll take a pizza from a local place over a chain any day. I will add those three to my list of restaurants to try when I get down there!

This move is going to be really bad for my diet, isnt it?

There was a pizza hut that I stopped at in Davis, OK on the way up from Fort Worth and you're right; pizza hut (which used to be good) has gone WAY down hill. At least that one did. The pizza buffet was dry and tasteless.

If you've never been to cicis I'd recommend going. It's actually pretty decent, and inexpensive.

I am a pizza pig. I love pizza. But honestly, Mazzio's pizza only scores a "fair". As does the $5 pizza pizza at dominoes. Mazzio's bacon meat lovers is pretty good. Their lunch buffet is convenient. We used to hit the one in Okemah for lunch pretty often.

I won't go to Mazzio's unless it is for the AYCE lunch buffet. Flies buzzing around the buffet was the final nail in the coffin for Mazzio's.
