Default Need Advice on Different OK Towns

I am looking to relocate back home to Oklahoma. These are the towns I am considering. Just wanting to get feedback on these different towns. I like the small town life but need to be close enough to a big city to get a good job. My main concern is the schools need to be good for my kid-FFA programs, sports, things like that. And of course safety.

Like Horseback riding, fishing, 4 wheelin things like that. I am trying to find a laid-back type of town if there are any of those left these days.

Purcell, OK

Pauls Valley, OK

Sulphur, OK

Ardmore, OK

Duncan, OK

Edmond, OK

Enid, OK

Tonkawa, OK

Guthrie, OK

Antlers, OK

These are the towns I am trying to decide between.

Hi redneckman0814! Obviously I am a little partial to Duncan.

We like that it is still a fairly small town (23,000) but it is close enough to larger towns to be a short trip.

1 1/2 hours to OKC

30 min to Lawton

46 min to Chickasha

3 hours to Dallas

Here are a few links for you:

Duncan Banner Newspaper

Chamber of Commerce

Duncan High School

Job Link Oklahoma (Great site for job hunting all over the State)

You asked in another thread about the distribution center that our son works for... it is Family Dollar also located in Duncan.

Google Maps and Live search maps both have a "Street" or "Bird's eye" view that will let you take a "drive" around town.

If you have any questions ask away!
