Default Husband getting stationed at Fort Sill..........

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help. Currently we live in El Paso, Tx and I just started my first semester in Nursing at UTEP...well we just found out that my husband is getting stationed in Fort Sill, OK. I know that OK has OU but the deadline for the Nursing program passed and I would not be able to start until Aug 2010 which is way tooo long, so I applied to MWSU in Wichita Falls, TX and can start in Aug 2009...so to get to the point my question is how long can I expect the commute to be?

If you've just started, you'll have classroom stuff and no clinics. Have you considered doing the basics online with an accredited program and transferring later to OU when you're ready? There are some good online nursing programs, I have a friend who is an instructor with one of them. Besides that, it would probably be cheaper than the gas you'd pay for to commute, and you'd have a lot more time at home for studying instead of being on the road.

Lawton to Wichita Falls is about 1 hour depending on traffic and weather...

Also check out Cameron University which is IN Lawton, perhaps they would have the classes you need! CU Home - Cameron University

Best of Luck!
