All I know about Canadian is that it is in lake country, near Eufala. It looks like a beautiful area. The cost of living should be low.
Help the fellow out folks. I know it's easy to tease, but he/she is asking for help and it doesn't reflect on the Okie forum very well when the only responses are rib ticklers...

Well, I don't know anything about Canadian. But I'd suggest searching the forum for it, because I'm pretty sure there have been other posts about it, and other people asking questions about it. And I may be wrong, but I think I remember Peggy posting some pictures of it somewhere.

Canadian is a nice place to live if you like a small rural area. It is close to McAlester so you can get to Wal Mart or Lowe's or a doctor or hospital if you need one. Lake Eufaula is there for summer fishing/swimming/boating ect. We get alot of weekend kids and adults partying on the lake from OKC and Tulsa but for the most part we don't let them bother us to much. Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July weekend is becoming a pain in the a$$ with the HUGE concerts they have been putting on. Last year it was Lynard Skynard and CCR. Basically it tripled the population of Eufaula for the weekend. Drove the local police force nuts. I think they basically deputized anyone they knew that had some training, Eufaula police, Checotah police, Sheriff's Dept, Lighthorse Police from Creek Nation and about any volunteers they could round up too. I just stay home even though home for me is Checotah...I am an IRONHEAD Borne and Bred
We are fixing to have to move to Beggs.... I just dread it but that is a different post.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!
