I left a few days ago to teach in Ft Smith and Hot Springs. I come home tonight to 8" in my yard. It's friggen April, almost. Can someone clue the guys in the weather centers that this is NOT supposed to happen?

BTW, Hot Springs is GREEN!!!!! Redbud, Dogwood, blossoms all over the place. My favorite handicapper did a bit (bet) better than break even.......Oaklawn is a NICE venue.

Had a GREAT dinner at Fisherman's Wharf on the banks of Lake Hamilton. Nice room at a not-so-cheap motel that was still overpriced......the good place require a 3 day stay during the racing season.

Coming home, had light rain all the way....GOT home, and 8"............got stuck in my driveway. WTF is going on?

Well, at least your visit in Arkansas didn't get snowed in, apparently.

Stillwater only got half as much snow and it was a real friendly kind of snow storm since with the temp hovering around 32 not much of it stuck to the streets and sidewalks. It was probably just like what they get in the deep south during the rare times it does snow.

Forget the snow and getting stuck in your driveway, I want to hear about Oaklawn! I love the ponies! But I don't care too much for Remington Racino until the weather warms up.

Sorry RB, I was teaching a class on appraising.......we shared a room with a woman who does handicapping, and she said it was really exciting. She is going back in two weeks for the final weekend........if you decide to go, let me know I will give you her number.........she is apparently a lot better than most of the professional handicappers......

WHAT!

Don't look at me, I didn't do anything. I'm a good boy, just ask me.

And even if I did do it, "and I'm still not admitting to it" it would only be in the order of shareing the love with my friends.
Besides, a little bird told me that Bjb123 was the culprit, she did it! But you didn't hear me say that .

AT least its melting today. In Stillwater I had about 3" on the ground, including a inch of slush yesterday. But it got warmer last night and today its almost all gone except for drifts. Grass should get greener soon.

It rained and snowed in Checotah off and on from 3am Friday night till Saturday afternoon about 4pm. We had a Cookie Booth Sale scheduled at Wal Mart Saturday and since they wouldn't let us come inside the breezeway...... we called Shelton's and Mr. Shelton was nice enough to let us sit inside to sell our cookies. We didn't get any accumulated snow... just cold rain.
