I worked with the Teams for 11 yrs out of Little Creek Va, some of the best years of my military career . They have the greatest toys to play with and the best countries to travel too.

I'm Army all the way but have a GREAT respect for the Navy SEALS. Those people are right up there with the very best our military has to offer. They go through excruciating training and are up there with the best, IMO.

Go SEALS! I'd want them watching my back ANY DAY! Sea, Air, and Land says it all. These guys can work in ANY environment; my hat's off to them.

I knew it was just a matter of time until the pirates hit an American vessel. I don't want to post what I would like to see the Navy Seals do to the pirates who have been taking ships on the seas and getting paid ransom money.

I can't stand those guys. Nothing but gangsters.

HOW DID THEY (pirates) START?

* When warlords toppled former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991, Somalia collapsed into anarchy. That led to a wave of illegal fishing, plus dumping of toxic and industrial waste, in Somali waters by foreign fleets from Europe and Asia.

* Towards the end of the decade, local fishermen and militia formed groups with names like the "Somali Coastguards" and the "National Volunteer Coastguards", to drive away or apprehend the vessels from South Korea, Italy, Spain, Thailand and elsewhere.

* Seeing how easy it was to capture ships, those groups metamorphosed this decade into old-fashioned pirate gangs, becoming ever more sophisticated in methods and bold in range.

They are good and I don't think them boys know what fear or pain is. Bjb123 got a chance to meet a few of them that I worked with and was astounded at the fact that they weren't real big men. And that most of them had thier Masters degrees in things like the medical, financial and many other areas, highly intelligent men, all of them.

Ya, I was fortunate enough to watch a group of Army Rangers show their stuff back in Fort Bragg. They weren't physically large but their intelligence (each spoke at least a couple of languages) and stamina was amazing. They were in perfect shape. These military specialists that we have are special people, in more ways than one; MANY more ways than one.

I wish you'd put a warning on things like this! It's a royal PITA cleaning whatever I'm drinking off the monitor and out of the keyboard!
