I can imagine.........I mow a 1 & 1/2 acre field for a church using a Craftsman ZT7000 ZTR. with a 50" cutting deck and 22 HP BS engine.
It takes me 5 HR's
At least it has a cup holder.

Craftsman ZT7000

Compare that with Karibears walk-behind push mower.

I'd rather not, thankyouverymuch. Both of the neighbors who complained about my horse and goats have riding mowers, and neither one has offered any help. In fact, I offered to pay one of them for trimming around the edges last summer, and he hasn't spoken to me since.

Oh, you B~&$%$*%! That is one cool lawn mower. And it has 22 HP? You know what you need now, don't you? To be really cool?

Ask EB. Tell him, EB. He wants the glow in the dark kind.

I don't get paid for this. I also maintain the mower.

Look....
Walk-behind mowers aren't made for such big job. Even with the ZTR, i had to stop 2-3 times and let the engine cool down, and once to pull the deck and clean the underside because the grass was fairly damp. Actually it doesn't have the proper blades needed for this type of job. It need "heavy duty "High Lift" blades".

If yours has a mulching blade on it, it needs to be changed to a "standard high lift blade.
Mulching blades on chop up the gras but doesn't blow it out.
High lift blades ceate a high air flow blowing everything out from underneath the deck.

I'm waiting to see which one breaks down first, Karibear or the mower.

Any one want to start a bet?

Lot's of todays new riders have V-Twins on them. But more like 19.5-20 HP.

Karibear....see the 2 silver covers on the engines? If yours has one, it's OHV.
Those covers are like rocker arm covers on a car.

Wal-Mart Special..........If it's a "Roll Back" ............ Roll it back.

(With exception to their 2cycles) This is the smallest version of BS engines.(3-4 HP) "in-line valves"(not-OHV)
On some mowers they're called "Sprints" others "Classics.

On this particular engine....
The "Primer is on the side of the carburator, with the air filter off watch inside the carb, as you pump the primer, if you see a stream of gas shoot across, it's working right. Too much priming can flood the engine.
Prime only 3X (3times) as noted on the gas tank.

Kari,
if you happen too over prime and flood the engine, remove the spark plug and pull the starter rope at least 3 times. Dry off the spark plug and reinstall it. Pump the primer once and see if it will start.

NOTE:!!

DO NOT....tip the mower (any mower) to the left or right. To look underneath, always lift from the front.

Tipping it to the side will cause oil the come out the Carb, or the muffler, depending on which side is tipped. Either way the engine will smoke when started again. If this happens just let it run to burn off the eccess oil.

If oil comes out the Carb it will soak the air filter it will choke out the engine and cause hard starting or it won't start.

Kari, If you happen to soak the air filter, clean it in warm soap and water.........not gas! Gas will cause the foam filter to expand to 3X it's size.
