Do you'all have much of this type of problem?
I was reading the hometown newspaper today and it seems that some young punks decided to take thier bord'm out on twenty headstones and monuments in one of our cemeteries, destroying them. And if that doesn't beat all, they did it during the daytime around 4 pm.
I hope they find the idiots and make thier parents pay full restitution, cost and otherwise for the damages.
I know that this kind of thing happens all the time, but it just bothers me that the kids today have such little respect for anything and everything. I would have never thought in a second to commit this type of crime, my ole man would have beat me black and blue for just thinking about it.
Maybe thats what the kids need, to be publicly whipped in the town square and infront of everyone.

That's horrible!!! But I wouldn't make their parents pay any fines. I'd give them community service. I mean some HARD time community service. Maybe something like picking up garbage along the ditch lines for about 180 hours might give them time to think. And not on ice days either.
Or maybe they could take care of the cemetery for this season. None of this sitting on the riding lawn mower though. I'm talking about things like trimming around the trees and gravestones, cutting tree limbs and hauling them out, etc. AND make them do it at night. LOL
Actually, I like that "church song".
PS~Mark it on your calendar~I think that this Mon. night on the Public Broadcasting series~The Trail of Tears.

That sounds great, but you'd have some bleeding heart screeming "Child labor Laws". Never the less, the parents need to pay for the damages and the kids suffer the consequences.
