Why do Grandbabies grow so FAST??

I'll tell ya what REALLY smells!! Our Son!  That turkey is down at the Dallas Motor Speedway right now, helping out a friend of ours who reviews and reports on pre-production cars for some of the major car manufacturers.
(Seriously SWEET Job!  )
Anyway, I get this phone call this morning from J and he says "Hey Mom!! Do you know how COOL it is going 170MPH in a car with Jimmie Johnson Driving???"
Gee son, can't say as I do... 
Yes he got to do a ride-along with Jimmie Johnson in a 2010 pre-production car (Mustang or Camaro I forget which, they are testing both) 
I'm sure J will share a few pics and vids when he gets home.  Our friend sent me a link this morning with a few pics and vids (of his). He is also a regular at ExpoTV.
Hopefully he won't mind me sharing this with y'all...if he does I'll delete it later.

You do mean the Texas Motor Speedway, which is either in or just a tad North of Fort Worth (not Dallas) right? The whole "Dallas" thing is a bit touchy for us Tarrant County (Fort Worth) folks... Calling everything in Fort Worth "Dallas" is a big no-no down here... 
But on the other hand, CONGRATS to your son!
PS: All I get when I click on the link is a blog of some sorts - no pictures or anything.

Yep, complete and utter brain fade on my part!!!  I ran my thought and my sentence together. They are STAYING in Dallas and they are indeed at the Texas Motor Speedway... 
Regarding the link...each one of the titles is a link that will show a picture or a video when you click it.

Gah! Cable guy JUST got our internet working again... we have been down all day today.
J is back home...very sunburned but he was grinning ear to ear, now he is sleeping before he goes to work. Hopefully we will ALL get to see some pics soon!!

I've never been there but have seen it on TV and in photographs and I dont recall seeing high rise condominiums unless I need to pay attention! |
