RB, Kari is talking about a T1 cable... that is the one you have to use for DSL, and it is larger than a regular phone line. It goes from the DSL modem to the computer. Her *regular* phone line will go from the wall to the DSL modem.

And the "filters" are something she has to plug into EVERY phone outlet in the house to seperate the internet signal from the phone signal. That way she can still get phone calls while she is online. (DSL comes through the phone lines)

I just hope she has better luck with the DSL than we did! We spent more time OFF-line than we did ON and even the tech guy never figured out why.

I haven't had any problems at all, at least not since the modem was delivered. It took them 3 days and a lot of phone callings for the UPS driver to figure out where I lived! I think my house was originally wired for phone by Cox, maybe that's why I haven't had any trouble.

Karibear, the apples are really starting to ripen all at once. If you want to, and have a bucket, you can come over and pick as many as you can carry.

I read that OK is one of the 3 states best known for scorpions. The reason I bring that up is... (not just to break the silence) but if it wasn't for my dog, I would have had a hard time gettin' to sleep Wed, night after laying on top of a scorpion.
He(Murphy) was laying under my desk most of the evening. Then he got up, walked over to my bed and started barking and snapping at something. I went over to check and there was a scorpion climbing up the side of the cover. I sleep on top in the summer so if Murphy hadn't found it, it would have been up on top by the time I went to bed
