I liked Laura Bush, although I don't think she and I would get along too well.....I tend to be a lot more crude than it appears she likes (I could be wrong, she married George). I think Hillary would be fun, and I would love to swap "war stories" with Bill. I liked Bob Dole. I like Huckabee. I would have enjoyed a horseback ride with Reagan.
That being said, I do NOT like supply side economics. I will NOT support that system of economic development. I support demand side economics. I don't care how charismatic or nice or pretty or anythingelse a candidate is, if they are supply siders, they will NOT get my vote. Period.
It was supply side economics that propelled both the dot com bubble and the real estate bubble. It was deregulation and detaxation of the upper income levels that made this mess. And the deregulation was all done in the spirit of Reagan who has been turned into some kind of hero by both the Democrats and the Republicans.
<<blah blah deleted by RB to save my brain cells>
Doesn't matter WHO is running or how much I like them personally. Unless they are demand siders, they will NOT get my vote.

And JC Watts is a black Republican. I thought that didn't happen in Oklahoma?

Only if you used the fact that he is black as a reason.

That is debatable but that WOULD be a good reason. However, the fact still remains that there are a LOT of people in this country who have not yet evolved and would NOT vote for him because he is black. And for a country that professes to be the freest and most powerful in the world (which is also debatable) that is pathetic.
